ECO PERFORMANCE RESINS
Super Sap 1000
An all purpose, high strength epoxy similar to ABS for prototype castings. Super Sap™
formulations contain bio-renewable materials sourced as co-products or from
waste streams of other industrial processes, such as wood pulp and bio-fuels production. These
natural components have excellent elongation properties.

REPLACING PETROCHEMICALS WITH A SHARED BIO-MASS STREAM
Forecast3D has partnered with Entropy Resins whose goal is to create high performance resins that optimize the sustainability of our customers' end products while improving performance. They have replaced petroleum based chemicals with bio-based renewable feedstocks. This has enabled them to lower the resins environmental impact from processing by employing bio-derived materials such as pine oils sourced as co-products from wood pulp processing and vegetable oil components sourced from the waste stream of bio-fuel processing.

BENEFITS OF INDUSTRIAL PINE OILS
Pine trees are indigenous to the entire Northern Hemisphere and its commercial importance to both the lumber and pulp industries had led to the sustainable management of this natural resource. It's from this renewable bio-mass stream that we derive one of our main ingredients. Industrial Pine Oils sourced as a co-product from the paper pulp industry, our pine-based feedstock are an economic alternative to traditional petrochemicals and provide unique mechanical properties in our resins; such as improved adhesion and elasticity. Our patent pending Super Sap technology is the secret to unlocking these properties.
WASTE AND NON-FOOD GRADE VEGETABLE OILS
With rising costs, fears about dependence on foreign sources, and environmental disasters from drilling, replacing petroleum with renewable energy is at the forefront of all societies. Bio-renewable energy, namely bio-diesel fuels, has been identified as an important technology in this effort. By-products of bio-fuels production provide a green chemistry route to one of the main components in our epoxy production. This renewable feedstock replaces additional petrochemical components in our resins with a rapidly renewable resource.
REDUCTION OF CARBON FOOTPRINT
It is widely accepted that climate change caused by global warming is the largest environmental threat humans have ever faced. The production and use of fossil based carbon is one of the primary contributors to the massive increase of greenhouse gases in our environment. We believe that by replacing fossil based carbon usage with bio-based "living carbon" we can help to reduce this deficit in CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions. By sharing these renewable materials with other industrial processes or by using the waste products from other industries we can further reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we emit into our atmosphere. Lastly by employing new and better processing techniques that require less energy and release less greenhouse gases, we can further improve the carbon footprint of our products.
CONSIDERATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT & USER SAFETY
We try to be cognizant off all the environmental impacts of our products ranging from land use issues to waste to health and safety. And although we may not have all the answers yet to these issues we do try to be mindful of them when designing our products. Waste and water consumption are two key areas that we try to effect. By choosing materials with better processing techniques than conventional petroleum based materials we can reduce the water consumption used in the processing of our materials as well as reduce the amount of harmful by-products, namely the production of dangerous chlorinated hydrocarbons. By employing lowered sensitizing components in our resin systems we can increase the health and safety of our products for theĀ end user.
